Always There

Okay, I gotta explain something, but first the drawing info, then you'll have a chance to run from the mini wall of text afterwards.
Yeaaaaah, this is a Valentine's Day picture, long overdue like everything by me. It focuses on the two pokemons' love being always there, which I must say reminds me that I might do one more thing to this before trying to submit it to pokedorks. I liked the pokemon anime episode where that Houndoom found Togepi and took it back to "our heroes", but I especially liked the scene like when it was raining and they found shelter. I think I wanted to recreate something like that Oh yeah, the song that inspired: [link] But I like its use near the end of this video better: [link] I guess the rest of the picture can be left open to interpretation.



I was going to use pencils on this, cause every time I try to paint, it looks as ugly as it did when I was in kindergarten. Yuck. And that's why you never see me paint anything- too much shaaaame. I dunno, suddenly I thought about what the problems were with the last thing I painted (and submitted >>) and kinda realized what I could do to fix them. Of course I did a couple of practice pictures before this one, and sure, enough, I can stay within the lines now, blend colors a bit, and make lighter or darker shades of colors. I know it's not perfect, but before I made this, I thought those twelve color (orange, yellow, red, pink, dark and light green, dark and light blue, brown, purple, black, white) sets they give you in elementary school are totally useless, but this was made only with those colors, and not all of them. I wanna say I think over-excessively playing okami on the wii engraved the fact that water colors aren't impossible into my brain, and maybe it inspired me.
